PRIMED Working Group reorganization

In March, 2024, the PRIMED Steering Committee voted to approve a consolidation of the structure, scope, and priorities of PRIMED Working Groups (WGs). The primary objectives of this reorganization are to recognize what PRIMED WGs have accomplished to date; refocus WGs to support Consortium projects given the current priorities and objectives; consolidate overlapping efforts to bring subject matter experts together in larger, more efficient meetings; and to do this while also reducing meeting burden on PRIMED members. Active and inactive groups are listed above, but the main changes were as follows:

  • • Merged the SEIPR and Population Descriptors WGs into a new POPSEI WG
  • • Merged all phenotype domain sub-WGs, Phenotype and Genotype Harmonization WGs, and Ancestry sub-WG into a new Data Analysis WG
  • • Absorbed the Simulation & Benchmarking sub-WG back into the existing Methods Development WG and renamed it Methods WG
