External Scientific Panel (ESP)

The PRIMED Consortium website may be unavailable due to scheduled server maintenance on Sunday, February 9, 8:00am - 10:00am Pacific / 11:00am - 1:00pm Eastern. During this time, the PRIMED website may be offline. Users may also be unable to log into the CC's AnVIL management web app to link their AnVIL accounts.

The External Scientific Panel (ESP) is a non-governing entity comprising a multidisciplinary panel of experts who will assist the National Institutes of Health (NIH) in assessing, on a regular basis, the PRIMED Consortium’s:

  • scientific and programmatic progress;
  • datasets, analysis tools, and other resources for potential users;
  • management of ethics concerns and participant protection practices; and
  • ability to develop and evaluate methods to improve the use of polygenic risk scores to predict disease and health outcomes in diverse ancestry populations.

The ESP provides such feedback twice a year, and the Consortium responds to the feedback as described in the SOP on the Expectations and Timeline for the PRIMED Consortium’s responses to ESP Feedback.
